Reggae was when it first started in the Sixty and unregretably still is the Greatest music of all time(to me)... Through-out time Reggae claimed its spot by many legendary artist's such as:

The great Bob Marley and the Wailers, with his MEAN songs like for example, "I Shot The Sheriff".

And also Peter Tosh Formerly Known as "Winstone McIntosh" an Ex Wailer with his songs like for example,Legalize it.
